7:30 AM — The Pour

The day begins early. Concrete has its own schedule, and the first pour happens before the city fully wakes. We mix by hand in small batches — never more than four litres at a time. The ratio of aggregate to binder to water is precise, but the feel of the mix is something you learn with your hands, not a manual.

10:00 AM — Demoulding

Yesterday's pours are ready to be freed from their silicone moulds. This is always the most satisfying moment. Each demoulding reveals whether the pour was true — no air pockets, no cold joints, no surface imperfections. When a piece comes out clean, there is a quiet collective satisfaction in the workshop.

12:00 PM — Finishing

After demoulding, each vessel is inspected and hand-finished. Edges are lightly sanded. Surfaces are checked for consistency. Pieces that don't meet our standard are crushed and recycled into the next batch. We do not sell imperfections — we remelt, recast, or reuse them.

2:00 PM — Candle Production

Afternoons are for the candles. Once a concrete vessel has cured for at least 48 hours, it is ready for the wick and wax. We centre each cotton wick by hand, then pour the soy wax at the precise temperature. The candles are left to set overnight in a temperature-controlled room.

5:00 PM — Administration & Shipping

The final hours of the day are for the business of running a small studio: orders, shipping, correspondence. Every piece ships in a custom box with recycled paper padding. We include a card explaining the materials and care instructions — because we want each customer to understand what they are holding.
