Maker, founder, and the quiet force behind every Studio Moncada piece — sculptural candles and concrete vessels poured by hand in Sofia.
Born and working in Bulgaria, Slava began with Koncrete Crafts — benchmade ceramics and vessels sold at local markets, face to face with the people who would take her work home. That same spirit lives in Studio Moncada today: small batches, tactile materials, and objects meant to stay on your table long after the flame burns down.
Her craft
Each piece begins as raw material — concrete mixed and shaped, lids sculpted flower by flower, soy wax poured in careful layers. Slava's work sits between functional object and small artwork: brutalist vessels, soft botanical lids, and candles that smell as calm as they look.
Vessels lined up on the workbench — florals drying, lids waiting, wax ready. This is where Slava shapes the calm, neutral palette Studio Moncada is known for.
Years of showing work under the Bulgarian sun — talking with collectors, explaining each pour, each texture. Studio Moncada grew from that direct, human connection.
